Act 5:1-10
The presence of the Lord was real in the church service where apostle peter was acting as the supervising pastor. The holy ghost who is the reason for the presence of the Lord, who caused prison padlocks to break open and Peter and others were out, was present at church. It was time to bring in first fruits and there were two congregants. Two believers in the church, a husband and a wife. They were 2 believers, and when the time came for the offerings, heaven found them wrong and instead of blessing them, judge them with the severest judgement. If I should make my inference from the bible, they went to hell. Far being for me that after standing in front of you on many occasions miss heaven. The truth is that until the Holy Spirit helps our understanding we may be playing a fool’s game. And it takes boldness for a man of God to bring the truth to the church. It’s not the coming and coming to church that God is interested in, but rather he’s interested in our transformation till we become like Jesus Christ. In the midst of every attempt to maintain balance we pastors, we must never lose sight of heaven.
You are going to a place where the streets are made of gold, can you then imagine your habitation? We are going be with the lord forever and ever. It’ll be sad if you miss that place. Today, the scientific world, we hear they are planting chips into people’s body for whatever reason. I wish I could do so also just to remind you that a home is awaiting you. So that every moment you live in that consciousness. Ananias and Sapphira ended in hell. May God have mercy on us! The truth of the matter is: there are some things, when you study the bible, you’ll find that those things are cursed by God. He has already released his curse, and is hanging in the air. When you default, it false on you. And one of these things is money. Jesus was teaching the multitudes, known as the beatitudes, the sermon, he ended a part of what he was teaching by saying you cannot serve God and Money at the same time. You just need to choose either serve God or follow money. But the truth is when you serve God you remain bless and money will follow. YOU must know how to relate with money.
The gold, the silver, the diamond, boxer, uranium, all on the thousand years belongs to our father. Even the noise made in the oil countries today because of crude oil, all the reservoirs, deep part of the earth and undiscovered all belongs to the father. Then you must be comforted that you can have a portion of what belongs to the father. If you lose sight of this fact, you lose the way and rather become a cursed woman or man. Far be it for us. Joseph was thrown into prison, experience the bitterness of life for a period. And a season came as he is working, the king sent him out of prison and from that time he became the most celebrated. The word of God will test you, but it’s when you pass the test of the world that you climb into the season of you manifestation but if you don’t pass it there’s no way God will push you forward. Many don’t know that the way you handle money can make you or can unmake you. Your spirituality is tied with money when you read the book of Luke. It’s closely linked with how you handle money. When you handle it the way God wants you to handle it the spiritual doors will open for you and since the spirit control the physical then it’ll open more doors for the physical also to manifest.
Ananias didn’t know there’s a curse hanging in the air. They sold their piece of land and after taking the money for the land the two agreed that the sale of the land was because of the need in the church, but they’ll not return the whole amount in the church. Meanwhile they had spoken in the hearing of God. When they took the money they now sat and deliberate as to whether it was wisdom to give all the money or not. Knowing well there were so many need in the house therefore they saw that it was not wisdom to return all to God. After all, God himself know that there are needs in the house. So they agreed on the percentage to be taken to church and what should be kept at home. They arrived in church and praises were on. When the devil fools you, he fools you so dead. May it not be so for us! They enjoyed every part of the church that day and then testimony time came. I believed Sapphira would have stood and said: praise the lord to push the husband to speak. But unfortunately the husband was not the first to speak but rather the Holy Spirit through Apostle Peter that spoke. Peter said why has the devil feel your heart so much that you could be bold and lie to the Holy Spirit?
May God’s mercies be released over us this morning! That no matter how crafty the devil is, how cunning the devil becomes, he’ll not get any part of us. Not our body, not our souls.
May he never succeed in his agenda against us!
As we are sited here this morning, so many thought may have filled our mind. I wouldn’t be surprised if many of us are holding contrary thoughts against the will of God for our life and the church.
Solomon who said two is better than 1, when one is down the other is to help up, but the other one rather has helped to go deeper down. May we be aware!
Husband and wives may God’s mercies reach us. Women, don’t lack the courage to check you husbands, but don’t cross the boundaries. In the church today, this caliber of men are lacking, to tell friends, that I know I don’t have to miss friendship but where you’re going is not the best. I pray we’ll be in position to help one another so that we’ll be free from the things the devil will throw our ways. If the earth cannot offer you anything good, May heaven be you consolation.
Peter said, Ananias, you have not lied to me, to the church, to the apostolic council, no, but you have lied to the holy ghost who is the founder of the church of the Lord Jesus Christ and such liars don’t deserve to live. Peter didn’t even finish speaking before Ananias lied and died in the church.
There are some of you who don’t have revelation about money. The minute they decided in their heart and spoke with their mouth, it has now become the property of the Lord. If the Holy Ghost care enough then you must know the Holy Ghost is interested in money. It’s no longer yours but his, so when you steal his things and it pains him, he can do whatever he wants to do. It’s God’s desire that he’ll bless every one of his sons and daughters so that the blessing will continue in their generations.
Jesus said if you cannot be trusted with an earthly matter like money then who can trust you to bless you with spiritual things? There’s so much to be done in the church today that God must but bless us for those things to be done. I didn’t seat personally with but I heard Idahosa said “anointing minus money is equal to annoyance”. When you are heavenly anointed, that anointing seeks manifestation in the physical realm. When money gets into the hand of good man, you’ll see good things. When money gets into the hand of a bad man, you’ll see evil.
David was anointed and also prosperous and because of that he was able to build a powerful kingdom. Solomon partook the anointing because of the covenant of his father. We cannot just be anointed. Talk in tongues nonstop for 6hrs without getting tired. That alone is not enough, we must be anointed and that anointing must manifest in prosperity. That wherever we go wealth must come out from anything we endeavor to do.
But there is a test we must pass. Some of the things happening that we even see on the satellites. Thank God for that, but should we also move into such dimension you’ll see the manifestation that will happen in this church. We can do so many things but you can have the money when the anointing is not on it you can go and do all these things and it’ll not produce any result. That’s the difference between those who are in the world and those who are with the kingdom of the lord.
Yesterday I went home and my heart was crying. So this necessity to be prospered, it must manifest. The desolation must become habitable places but you must pass the test. My prayer for this message that am preaching to you from the lord is that nobody will be in a place of disadvantage that when it’s time to do something for God we’ll be apologetic but rather move with force that people will begin to ask which brand are we?
There’s was one particular sister who was always falling into sin and when asked she said: my parents are dead, am the only one and everybody is looking up to me, pay the rent and do everything for the entire family. It’s not her desire to be in this but circumstances is forcing her to do so. So every month ending they tried to be sending her some money and just like that the sinful life of her stopped. When we are disadvantage the anointing will not have the platform for it manifestation, but we must pass the test. Our heart must not be selfish, God must do something about our hearts.
Don’t touch the accursed things.
What God has decided to do after our great grandfather Abraham was to make it a law and mandatory. This is the foundation of true Christian life. If it’s not by God, your ways will not be open well for you.
When you read Malachi 3 from verse 10. God said you all are cursed, you’re operating, and living under a heaven that is cursed and what’s constantly raining on you is curse because you have all chose to wrong me.
The people were bold to ask, how can you God accuse us like this?
And God said every one of you are robbers, you’re robbing me with tithes and offerings. The day I made covenant with your fathers, your parts for me to release the blessing is that everything that comes into you hand, you must give me the first and the tenth part apart of you giving me offerings. Then the blessings I God have commanded will come upon your lives.
I was in Washington in a meeting where pastor zigah was ministering, he said he went to a restaurant eating, when he got in there he saw a Jewish family. How did he know it was a Jewish family? He said when they’re plate came with the dish, he saw them dividing the food into 10th part, they put aside the one 10th and ate the 9th part. They understand the covenant that bound their fathers and ready to practice even with food. No wonder powerful voices in America today are Jewish.
We must pass the test.
You are all robbing me, sayest the lord, in your tithes and in your offerings. Why was God mindful enough to remind them through the prophet Malachi? It was because as generations began growing, they were gradually forgetting the things that made their fathers great, forgetting that there was a potential curse that God has placed on these things.
Ignorance will not spare you. If you don’t know electricity can shock you and you touch it it’ll definitely shock you before you know that electricity can shock. Jesus did not remove the tithe, the truth is that whether you believe it or not, there is a curse, it’s a thing that is carrying God’s own curse. When you touch what did not belong to you, it releases a curse.
One man in our family was so adventurous that he saw a very beautiful lady but the lady belong to a cult from Agbozome, where no matter how daring you are you don’t see such women and sleep with them. When you do their gods will come after you and your entire family. When you do so they’ll have to take a woman from your family to go and replace her in a shrine forever.
God says everything that comes into you hand, the tenth part belongs to him. The curse has receive an assignment already. Nothing stops such a curse from landing.
The tithe is the 1/10 of everything. When you get 50ghc you’ll find that the tenth of it is 5ghc. And God says once that money come into you hand, take the tenth of it and give to the lord, don’t forget all does not belong to you. What you should be calculating to spend should be only 45ghc. When you release the 5ghc to me, the balance of the 45, I’ll so bless it that that 45ghc can do what millions can do. At the end of the day you yourself you cannot even believe how the 45ghc has taken you through the month.
There are many of you whose financing could have taken the turn for the better. That’s why in school you can’t prove yourself, but the curse has put a blockade of how fast your mental capacity is to go. It’s not because the lecturer has taught above your head or you don’t have a laptop but it’s because of the curse. There are some that have been anointed by the devil to come and brainwash you and fine-tune your mind to play down the word of the lord.
I lost my father had to go to secondary school. And God being so good in that school that was where prof. George klu witnessed me, first man to preach Jesus Christ to me. When I understood these things, though I did not began in perfection but I was doing it along the line. And it wasn’t long before the blessing began to manifest. I schooled on government bursary, got to legon didn’t have any support from anywhere. Didn’t know how to go through the course but I dared God, one of the gracious thing he did to me. I understood the necessity for honoring God. For us to eat, the cafeteria food was 42cedis. But I’ll take the 42cedis and take 4.2cedis out immediately and go and give the rest to the servants of the food. When you bless God, the windows of blessings begin to open.
If you think honoring God will be cheating yourself, you’re lying. My course finish and had to go home. Where will I go or even stay? But a student in medical school offered me his hall and offered me his food and then a lecturer heard that there was a young man who was praying for the sick and they were healing. And he wanted me to join them to begin rolling on their programs. And that’s how I entered into the hand of a lecturer. And I can give you instances after instances and after instances.
When you give what belongs to God he’ll bless you and bless you. that’s how we’ve been operating in this church. This place needs to be packed very full. When we take God at his work and steps out his blessings will begin to flow. We don’t need to close and push everyone on the street to bring souls, no. you should be doing that and his blessings will begin to show.
This morning may you revisit our mental faculty, may we begin to think a different way. Those of you who are not paying tithes, you’re bringing curse on yourself. Somebody can just look at you and say, Uncle Theo can you get ready I want to take you to Italy. But you must pass the test. When it’s time to give tithes, it should not be only some people walking forward but it must be everybody. This is your ability, and as you begin to do so, God will function for you. Your family, your whole being will move out of a curse, because of your commitment, your behavior.
Flee the accursed things, like Ananias and Sapphira they were trying to do good to the church but they were not honest. Those of you who don’t care, go out and bring in people to God and see how God will bless you with a wife or a husband. Somebody who honors, or values the preeminence of God angels keys in for that person. May you not be stingy that when you want to give to God you so wrap the paper. If you’re going to be stingy don’t be stingy towards God.
If you’re resolved or purposed to obey, the curse is already running from you!!!
